The University of Cambridge is one of the world's oldest universities and leading academic centers. The Centre for Business Research is an independent research institution within the University of Cambridge which draws on expertise from the Faculties of Economics and Politics, Law, and Social and Political Sciences, the Departments of Geography and Land Economy, the Manufacturing Engineering Group within the Centre of Engineering, and the Judge Business School, where the centre is located. It is a well-known multi-disciplinary organisation with a variety of international collaboration activities in both its 'Enterprise and Innovation' and 'Corporate Governance' Programs. Major sponsors include the UK Economic and Social Research Council, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, the Cambridge-MIT Institute, the East of England Development Agency, and National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA).
