Stuart Parris is a Research Associate at the Open University. He received his PhD in finance and innovation from the Open University in 2009. His research interests include the empirical investigation of the regional distribution and access to finance for hi-tech start-up and early stage firms. His recent work has investigated the organisation of the venture capital industry in the UK, focusing on the biopharmaceutical industry.
