01 December 2011 Abstract: The key challenge assigned to Work Package 4 (WP 4) within FINNOV project concerned the empirical identification of the transmission mechanisms from the functioning of financial and credit side to the real dynamics of economies. The WP 4 contributed to this broad question by looking from different angles at the relationship between financial institutions and business firms, and the effects produced by such interactions on a range of key dimensions of firm performance.
