01 January 2012 Abstract: The key challenge assigned to ASSETS (Work Package 6) was to study the mechanism via which property prices affect consumption and consequently welfare. This WP also investigated a reverse causality and quantified the effect of changing house prices on the income distribution, taking into account the differential impact these changes have across cohorts.
